About
A quiet gardener.
Reader, writer, walker of woods — keeper of the botanical library.

A portrait among the peonies.
Innercognita began as a private notebook — a place to gather what could not be said quickly: a paragraph of Jung, a pressed cornflower, a stanza of Rilke, a shadow on the stone.
I write slowly and read slowly. My interests wander between depth psychology, symbolic astrology, European folklore and the small ceremonies of gardening. I believe the inner world has weather, and that essays can be shelter.
Writing philosophy
Every essay is walked before it is written. Beauty is not a decoration; it is a form of attention.
